How to install sublime text editor in Ubuntu with .deb file

First of all what is sublime :-

    according to official website www.sublimetext.com

Now how to install it in ubuntu

 go to official website Downloads Click here to download
 and download sublime for ubuntu

 .deb file will be downloaded

now open terminal and goto Downloads directory by the following command

cd ~/Downloads

now install .deb file by usinfg the dpkg as follows

sudo dpkg -i package.deb

for me it is as below

sudo dpkg -i sublime-text_build-3126_amd64.deb

press enter


it gives following result:

now search for sublime you can see it on the top as below.
